"We come for the cars, but stay for the camaraderie." Join us!

So many ways to play with us!

Want to participate in our events? We offer several opportunities for car enthusiasts ranging from leisurely tours, to wheel-to-wheel racing, to social events. The type of car you bring depends on the event, but rest assured, there’s something for everyone and most events don’t require VSCCA membership.

Find your niche below.

Wheel-to-wheel racing

  • VMC, SCCA and similar logbook cars through the early 70’s from VMC affiliated groups that meet VSCCA safety regulations and be equivalent to SVRA groups 1, 3, 4, and 5b i.e. sports and small bore production cars through early seventies and sports racing cars under 2 liters, all running on treaded tires. This would of course include cars with VSCCA logbooks.
  • Drivers need a VMC (vintage racing) license and safety gear, but if you don’t have a license, the VSCCA offers a race school each spring. Join us!

Preservation track groups

“Preservation” cars through the early 70’s. These can be entered for our “track day” events at Lime Rock Park during our Spring Sprints and Fall Finale events - in a group that doesn’t allow wheel-to-wheel racing and passing only on the straights.

Autocross

Our very popular “Driven to Race” event held in the spring requires only a driver’s license. No safety gear and you can bring any muffled car.

Hillclimbs

Our popular Mt Equinox hillclimb sells out early and requires safety gear, but you may find another hillclimb that fits your fancy.

Tours

Leisurely 1- or 2-day group tours along the scenic roads of the Northeast. Inexpensive with no timing or gimmicks. Just a map, great lunch and when sleeping over, great hotels.

The 26th edition is being developed as this is written. This being a "gimmick rally," you should honestly have no trouble staying on course. The objective is to observe your surroundings while on the road and to answer questions, both "simple" and - some have argued - "diabolical."

Vintage Racing Drivers’ School

May 5-6, 2023

It was reportedly one of the best with 24 participants, including 4 women and to top it off, over half the students were under 40 years old. Since school was dismissed, students John Oliva and Frank Ditta have acquired race cars and have already raced with us. Photos by Kobus Reyneke
